X. Song Jiang was born in Wuhan, China in 1955. A graduate of Zhejiang Art Academy, China in 1982, Song worked as an art lecturer and a professional artist in China before immigrating to Canada in 1988. He paints most of his paintings outdoors in the wilderness while living and traveling in North America and Europe. He has won major awards for his paintings, in China, Canada and the United States.
His painting technique is very precise. He uses a small palette knife to paint his subjects. His attention to detail is amazingly accurate and he has a very harmonious sense of color. Each painting has a powerful presence and will compliment each other in a collection. |
