Monika Meunier Biography |

Monika Meunier was born in Africa in 1947. She studied drawing and painting at the Art Achool in Nice and traveled all over France, Germany, and the United States. Since 1992 she has lived on the French Riviera and dedicates all her time to her painting.
She is a member of the European Academy of Arts Graphiques Plastiques et Photgraphiques and had organized many exhibits with the Art Expo French Riviera. Through her paintings she communicates her joy and her love of life. Huge satin-like surfaces cover the canvas and capture the generous pigments of reds, yellows, and blues. Glimpses are left under the trace of the palette knife. Flowers and Provence landscapes are the main subject of her work which so often produces a marvelous gaze. |
